Account Question
Hello all!
Random question I've been thinking about. If I buy an account for a minor to use (family friend's son, just so no one raises eyebrows), and have everything in my name on the account (name, billing address, etc), will said person still be able to use it? Or will the information have to be from the location the account is primarily played? I wouldn't want to spend the money on the account, only to have it banned for that, like some accounts have been. Thanks all! ~ Warcry |

If the intended user of an account is under the age of 18 then it needs to be registered to an adult anyway. Minor geographical differences are of no importance (if you're really paranoid you could just get the kids parents to register it in their name).
PS: You can find this information in the EULA.

They just don't want to pay for it, and they think registering it in their name = payment, you know parents and old people, afraid of new technology

Is it just me that remembers wrong or do you not have to register any names and such if you buy the game at a mortar and brick shop?

when you upload the game, it ask for information...like an email and name & address...this is where the minor cant enter the info.....as well as agreeing to the eula.
so yeah he could buy the game and give it to the child, however, when they get to the that point--they wont be able to 'legally' enter information.

Right Cosy, what I was going to to was set up the account COMPLETELY, until it's to the point of ready to log on and create a character. Everything would be in my name, and unless he changes the info, I would have access to it, but other than that he would have total control of the account at that point. The thing I'm concerned about it just if having my info on an account I don't use, and since the account will be used at a location that isn't my own, is there a problem. Which, from what you all are saying, there is nothing to worry about, so thank you all for the help.
Edit: Also, I'm also afraid that if he were to do something on the account to get him banned for whatever reason, would that come back to my accounts as well? They wouldn't be linked to the same NCSoft account, I figure if I'm not gonna use it, why should I link them, but the information would be the same.
